“Let me hear in the morning of thy steadfast love, for in thee I put my trust. Teach me the way I should go, for to thee I lift up my soul. (Psalm 143:8). A rich and meaningful verse to meditate on.

Good morning dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today is the sixth day of Easter, and a dear friend shared this verse with me: “and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.” 2 Corinthians 5:15 (Whom am I living for?)
The suggested readings: Acts 4:32–5:11, Jas 2:1-13 (James), and Jn 21:1-14 (John). May God give us the ability to make a choice, do we want to live for OURSELVES? Or for Jesus Christ and His Glory? A very hard decision to make but let us always remember that God is on our side.

Good morning dear faithful,
“Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.“ James 1:2-3. (all of us face daily challenges, sometimes we feel tired, have no energy to continue, even we think to give up. Unfortunately, we forget that God is our strength, which means that we need to look always at the bright side, try to find the light even in the darkest hours).
The readings for today: Acts 4:13-31 and Mt 5:1-12, (Matthew). Dear beloved, may our Savior open our eyes and give us wisdom, to be able to overcome any trial, at the same time, use those difficulties for our benefit and eventually, grow in faith.

Today is the fourth day of Easter.
“Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. (How many times during the day, we take a moment to thank God for all His blessings).
The suggested readings: Acts 3:22–4:12 and Lk 24:36-40 (Luke). Let us praise the Lord day and night, for He is always ready to help us.

Good morning dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today is the third day of Easter. “Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4. Our Savior, through His Resurrection gave us the hope for eternal life. Aren’t we blessed?
The suggested readings: Acts 2:42–3:21 and Lk 24:13-35 (Luke). Let the joy of our Lord’s resurrection never leave our hearts.

“Christ is risen from the dead, blessed is the resurrection of Christ.” On this day we remember our friends and family members who passed from this life. “The tombs also were opened, and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised.” (Matthew 27:52)
We miss our deceased relatives and friends but our Lord assures us that when the right time comes, He will raise them, and we all are going to be with Him Forever. May all the souls Rest In Peace.

Today is Great Saturday, when we celebrate Jrakalooyts, Eve of Easter. In the Holy Gospel of St Mark chapter 16. The Angel says: “Do not be amazed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has risen, he is not here; see the place where they laid him.” (As a Christian, where and how do I seek Jesus?).
The suggested readings are: 1 Cor 15:1-11 (Corinthians), and Mt 28:1-20 (Matthew).

Today is Great Friday, when we commemorate the Passion, Crucifixion and Burial of our Lord Jesus Christ. “One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, ‘Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!’ But the other rebuked him, saying, ‘Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.’ And he said, ’Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ And he said to him, ‘which one of the two am I? The one who questions, doubts and never is satisfied or the one who knows that he has sinned and asks for God’s mercy and forgiveness?’

(Lord we are wait for you day and night, hear our prayers). Today is Great Tuesday, dedicated to the ten virgins (5 foolish and 5 wise) and The Feast of the Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary. We read in the Gospel of St. Matthew 25:11-13: “Afterwards the other maidens came also, saying ‘Lord, Lord, open to us.’ But he replied, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” (are we living our lives prepared like the five wise virgins?).

Today is the first day of the Holy Week, Great Monday, dedicated to the creation of the world. Then God said, “let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26. (being created in the image of God, do we try to live a godly life?).
The readings suggested: Mt 21:18–22:14 (Matthew), Gen 1:1–3:24 (Genesis), Prov 1:2-9 (Proverbs), Is 40:1-8 (Isaiah), and Mt 20:17-28 (Matthew). Have a blessed Holy Week.

Today is the 7th Sunday of Great Lent called Palm Sunday. We read in today’s Gospel passage; “And the crowds that went before him and that followed him shouted: “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” And when he entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying; WHO IS THIS? “Mt 21:9-10. (Are we ready to welcome Jesus in our hearts?)
The readings suggested: Song1:1–2:3 (Song of Songs), Zech9:9-15 (Zechariah), Phil4:4-7 (Philippians), and Mt20:29–21:17 (Matthew).
It is heartbreaking to celebrate Palm Sunday without the Church family coming together and praising God, but we strongly believe that our prayers are united and lifted up to the Heavens. Let us join our supplications to the two blind men sitting on the roadside of Jericho, and cry out loud “Have mercy on us, Son of David” (Mt20:29-30). And our Sweet Lord will heal the world because He is loving, merciful and never forsakes His children.

Today is the 41st day of Great Lent, Remembrance of the Resurrection of Lazarus. We read in the Holy Gospel of St. John 11:39-40; “Jesus said, take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to Him, Lord, by this time there will be an odor, for he has been dead four days. Jesus said to her, Did I not tell you that if you would believe you would see the glory of God?” (How often do we doubt in the power of God?)
The suggested readings: Prov14:27-35 (Proverbs), 1 Thess4:12-17 (Thessalonians), and Jn 11:55-12:11 (John). Let us not forget that everything is possible with God, for His glory.

Today is the 39th day of Great Lent. Jesus said in the Holy Gospel of St. Matthew 28:20: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (let us remember that our Savior is always next to us day and night, even when we sin, He is watching us and suffering).

Let us start this month with an encouraging verse. “I can do all things in Him who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13.) The readings of today: Ex 4:21-5:3 (Exodus) and Zech9:9-16 (Zachariah).
It is true that we are going through hard times, but for us Christians, our Savior will always strengthen and protect us. He will never forsake us.

Today is the 37th day of Great Lent. “He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and served Him. That evening they brought to Him many who were possessed with demons; and He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick.” (Matthew 8:15-16). How great is our Lord’s love and compassion towards His sons and daughters!
The reading of today: 1Cor 12:8-27 (Corinthians). May our sweet Lord Jesus Christ touch and heal our hearts and bodies from every sickness, so that healed by His power, we can serve one another for His glory.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today is the sixth Sunday of Great Lent called the Sunday of Advent. Our Lord says in the Gospel of St. Matthew 22:37-39: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And the second is similar: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” (Are we trying to fulfill these commandments in our lives? Very hard but doable!).
The readings of today: Is66:1-24 (Isaiah), Col 2:8-3:17 (Colossians), and Mt 22:34-23:39 (Matthew).

Today is the feast of St. Gregory the Enlightener’s terrible passion and entrance into Khor Virab. Let us ask his intercession. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.” James1:5-6. (as a hint, is doubt my friend?).
